A Woman's Place

I started A Woman’s Place as a way to meaningfully contribute to organizations actively fighting for women’s rights. The recent overturning of Roe v Wade shocked and devastated many of us. Aside from protesting, marching, and calling my representatives, I felt like I needed to do more. Maybe you can relate. After a few days of rage, followed by a few days of staring into the void, I decided to channel that energy into designing feminist shirts. I had a few requests, which got the ball rolling on opening a store and donating the profits. To that end, all proceeds from sales are going to Equality Now. From their site: Equality Now is a feminist organization using the law to protect and promote the human rights of all women and girls. We create, reform, challenge, and apply the law to establish enduring equality for women and girls everywhere. “When we launched in 1992, we had a deep conviction that we could and must act against the violation of women’s rights around the world. Equality Now has become a standard for activism on the ground where we try to translate women’s needs into national, regional and international law, policy, and practice…” – Jessica Neuwirth, Co-Founder, Equality Now Equality Now currently holds an accountability and transparency rating of 93 out of 100 from Charity Navigator.
